Laura A. McCoy was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and is a lifelong resident of Raleigh. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. Later that year, she passed the bar in North Carolina and joined the law firm of Howard, McCoy & Bolton, LLP as an associate attorney. Laura has proven herself to be an invaluable asset to the team.

Laura is currently a member of the Wake County Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association, Family Law Section.

Laura has been recognized by Business North Carolina magazine as one of the "Legal Elite" in North Carolina.
